Pelinsu Ekinci
Pelinsu Ekinci (b.2004) is a self-taught Kurdish photographer from Turkey.

She began taking photographs at 19, while living in Brussels, as a way to cope with the emotional weight of her surroundings as a young migrant woman navigating life in Europe. What started as survival quickly became a visual language — one rooted in memory, silence, and raw honesty.
Her work blends street photography, portraiture, and autobiographical fragments to document the contradictions of intimacy, displacement, and youth as well as marginalised communities and everything deemed “other.”

She believes in photography not as a form of perfection, but as a way to hold what’s difficult to name — and to claim authorship over one’s own story.
Pelinsu is currently based in Warsaw and continues to explore themes of identity, memory, and emotional truth through her lens.
